Valentin Huedo is a real Ibicenco. Born on the magical island in the 80ies, he is one of the artists that is determining influencing the current sound on Ibiza. In this podcast he shared with us his view on the scene, its development, the current parties and where he thinks it is leading to in the next years. He is also talking about his personal hotspots on the island and about his remarkable career as DJ, producer and radio broadcaster.

This podcast is available on iTunes and on Spotify.

I am so happy our paths crossed and we were able to do this interview. To me Valentin embodies the feeling I have about the young, local and authentic music scene on the island. Among many other great things, he is resident at a festival that captured my heart already during my last years’ stay: the Woomoon festival. He enriches it with his balearic sound and helps creating an outstanding atmosphere for likeminded music lovers.

Considered one of Ibiza’s finest DJs and producers who has amassed global recognition through his live performances and festival shows, Valentin Huedo’s work has also been featured and released by major music labels: his “Atlantis” EP (2017) was released by Do Not Sit On The Furniture, Miami’s premier underground and sophisticated curator; and multiple hit singles (2009-2016) on Music for Dreams, the sonic kaleidoscope founded by legendary producer Kenneth Bager. Valentin is a two-time winner of the DJ Awards – Best Ibiza Resident DJ, a prestigious industry award founded by renowned Ibiza organizer Jose Pascual and well-known DJ, producer and record label owner, Lenny Krarup in 2018. Selected by a panel of experts, Valentin Huedo’s astounding back to back awards in 2008 & 2009 placed him amongst other previous winners, including Grammy winner and 8x IDMA nominations for Best American DJ Roger Sanchez, electronic music legend Carl Cox  (2001 NME Awards winner – Best Club DJ and over 20 competitive awards from 71 nominations) and Black Coffee – a four-time DJ Awards winner for Best Breakthrough DJ (2015) and Best Deep House DJ (2016 – 2018). A regular collaborator with industry giants, Valentin Huedo’s music is often played by legendary DJ/producers such as Pete Tong, Behrouz and Lee Burridge.
