Peggy Gou: Between Techno, House, and Global Inspiration

Peggy Gou is one of the world’s most inspiring artists, known for her unique sound that blends techno, house, disco and afro house — a reflection of her global background and Berlin influences.
As a DJ, producer and fashion icon, Peggy embodies the international spirit of the Berlin electronic music scene.

Last weekend, she performed at the Desperados Deep House Experience — the world’s deepest underwater dance floor. Surrounded by mermaids and laser lights, Peggy delivered a hypnotic set that blurred the boundaries between sound and space.

Playing Underwater: The Desperados Deep House Experience

When asked about her performance in this extraordinary setting, Peggy Gou describes it as “surreal and liberating — music truly has no limits.”
The event, hosted in the world’s deepest pool, invited artists and music lovers to dive into a new dimension of techno and travel — one that perfectly mirrors Peggy’s passion for exploration.

How Traveling Shapes Peggy Gou’s Sound

Traveling plays a huge role in Peggy’s creative process. Her sound carries influences from Berlin, Detroit, and Chicago, but also from the diverse cultures she encounters on her journeys.
Each trip becomes a new layer in her musical identity — blending underground club culture with global sounds.

"One of the best things about traveling is that you go to different cities, you learn the cultures, and your eyes open up to something that you learn. Culture and learning culture. It's a very big thing for me. You know, like you go to some city, you get inspired by so many things and you learn why, like why these different people have a different mindset."

My favorite place in Berlin is called Juicery. That's like in front of Mauerpark. I go there to get some fresh juices and ginger. My favorite is the Fire Shot.
