This Berlin Guide by Cle is a selection of the places he misses the most during lockdown.
The Eatery – an Eastern Mediterranean Café in Berlin Mitte
Run by Techno legend Aril Brikha, this cool café serves great interpretations of the Eastern Mediterranean in a very unpretentious way. The Arabic spiced chicken is just delicious, the burgers are ridiculously yummy and the hummus with ramen egg alone is worth travelling to Berlin.
Get the best Old Fashioned at Melody Nelson Bar
My favourite dive bar here in Berlin. A very classy selection of special and classic cocktails, super cool bartenders and a mainly Berliner crowd with a lot of regular customers makes this place so unique. Alan & Co make a mean Old Fashioned or serve a barrel aged Negroni and you’ll most likely stay so much longer than planned…
German Tapas at PeterPaul Restaurant
The super chic, yet down-to-earth restaurant in Berlin Mitte offers classic German cuisine with a twist in tapas format. Basically one can travel through the different culinary regions of Germany by ordering various of the small plates and enjoy them, spread out all over the table with your friends or family. The staff is super friendly and competent and they serve great drinks and – of course – beautiful German wines as well.
Food, drinks and tunes at KINK
Kink is a bar and restaurant hybrid in a beautiful location in the heart of Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. They prepare visionary food and extraordinary drinks with love and accuracy that are just delicious. A cool crowd gathers in the two story room to enjoy the unique atmosphere. Most of the nights they have a very well curated DJ programme, too.
Many of those places are presented in our Berlin T[rave]l Guide. Check it out here.
