Paris Travel Guide by CHAMBORD: Insider Tips for Food, Nightlife & Hidden Gems
Paris is more than just landmarks — it’s a living, breathing playground of culture, music, food, and hidden gems. For this guide, Paris-based duo CHAMBORD share their personal favourite spots across the city — from local neighbourhood energy to food, shopping, and nightlife.
Meet CHAMBORD
CHAMBORD is a talented DJ and producer duo based in Paris. Their musical universe is eclectic: melodious sounds influenced by world music, combined with more electronic and hypnotic atmospheres.
These music lovers have already proven themselves on both the French and international scene, playing events like Mayan Warrior and Garden of Babylon. Through their music, they communicate a warm energy and a unique vibe — making each set a special journey.

Parisian Life: The Heartbeat of the City
Paris is so much more than the Eiffel Tower, Pont des Arts, or the Champs-Élysées. It’s a city of endless possibilities, where every street corner holds a new discovery. Whether it’s the buzz of daily life, the endless food adventures, the hidden shopping gems, or the perfect spots to unwind, there’s always something new to explore.
There’s no place quite like the 11th arrondissement, where I used to live before trading city life for the mountains and Annecy. This neighborhood pulses with creativity, diversity, and a strong sense of community.
But if I had to pick one spot, it would be Belleville. This area is a treasure trove of tiny restaurants, tight-knit communities, independent bookshops, and legendary record stores. For vinyl lovers, Techno Import and Synchrophone are must-visits.
Belleville embodies the most authentic energy of Paris — a place where artists, families, and foodies all coexist.

Food: A Never-Ending Feast
As a self-proclaimed foodie, I’m always on the hunt for the next amazing bite — and Paris never disappoints.
Le Cornichon is the perfect spot for classic French bistro cuisine. It’s cozy, a bit old-school, and always satisfying.

Salatim offers Mediterranean flavors that explode in your mouth — quick, fresh, and ideal for a meal on the go.
Delhi Bazaar is a game-changer for Indian food lovers, with spices and textures that are simply unforgettable.
Les Enfants du Marché is a bit pricier, but every euro is worth it for the quality and creativity of the dishes.

I couldn’t leave without mentioning cheese. Head to Le Jardin Fromager and ask for a Selles-sur-Cher — it’s the best goat cheese you’ll ever taste.
And if you have a sweet tooth, Les Merveilleux de Paris is an institution. One bite, and you might just want to move to Paris for good.

Honestly, in Paris, you’ll want to try it all. The only downside? The coffee shop boom — sometimes, less is more.
Shopping: Hidden Gems & Timeless Classics
I’m a sucker for vintage finds and unique shops.
Brut, on Rue Réaumur, is my go-to vintage store. It’s curated, stylish, and always has something special.
Kis is an incredible vintage shop with amazing pieces you won’t find anywhere else.
Souvenir Machine, not far from Brut and Kis, is perfect for quirky, one-of-a-kind items.
And while Royal Cheese isn’t vintage, it’s a true Parisian institution. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out.
Nightlife: Where to Unwind
I’m not much of a party animal anymore, but I still love a good vibe from time to time.
Le Cabaret Sauvage is unlike any other club. The atmosphere is electric, and the lineup is always diverse — from live music to DJ sets. It’s a place where anything can happen.

Spootnik, my favorite bar in the 3rd arrondissement, has impeccable decor, delicious cocktails, and a vibe that’s chill but never boring.

Final Thoughts
As I said, these spots might only represent 2% of the cool places in Paris. You can’t imagine how much this city has to offer.
Whether you’re exploring its vibrant neighborhoods, indulging in its culinary delights, hunting for unique finds, or enjoying a quiet drink — there’s always something to love.
