Lisbon Dance Summit — A New Chapter for Europe’s Electronic Music Scene
From April 29 to May 2, 2026, something new lands in Lisbon.
Lisbon Dance Summit launches its first edition — bringing together artists, industry voices, and the city’s underground to explore where electronic music is heading next.
More than just a conference, Lisbon Dance Summit (LDS) is designed as a city-wide experience — blending talks, workshops, showcases, and parties into one immersive week. With over 80 speakers from across the global music industry, the event connects artists, labels, promoters, and creatives shaping today’s electronic landscape. Tickets are available here.
This year, tunes&wings is proud to collaborate with Lisbon Dance Summit, bringing its perspective on local culture, artist insights, and the deeper layers of Lisbon’s music scene into the experience.

A Vision Rooted in Connection
At its core, Lisbon Dance Summit is about building bridges.
As co-founder Jesper Skibsby explains:
“The goal is to create a dedicated week of electronic music in Lisbon that attracts the international industry while improving opportunities for the Portuguese scene — by connecting global players with local artists, labels, and communities.”
This vision reflects a shift happening across Europe: from isolated scenes to interconnected ecosystems. Lisbon Dance Summit positions itself as the platform where these worlds meet.
Why Lisbon — And Why Now?
Lisbon has quietly evolved into one of Europe’s most dynamic electronic music cities.
“Lisbon is the new hub for electronic music in Europe,” says Skibsby. “There’s a tremendous underground scene, but limited international success stories — yet.”
What makes Lisbon unique right now is its combination of raw local energy and international influence:
- A growing underground scene
- An influx of global artists choosing Lisbon as their base
- A strong sense of community, still relatively untouched by over-commercialisation
Lisbon Dance Summit taps into exactly this moment — aiming to create something comparable to Amsterdam Dance Event, but with a distinctly Lisbon identity:
“A new version of ADE — but with sun.”
Inside the Summit: Talks, Workshops & Real Conversations
Taking place at Casa Capitão, the conference unfolds across three days with:
- 4 stages / rooms
- ~20 panels and interviews
- 15 artist-led workshops
- The Studio Hub curated by Joyce Muniz
Topics range from artist development and AI to club culture, investment, and global market dynamics — reflecting how electronic music continues to evolve beyond the dancefloor.
Confirmed speakers include names like:
- Alex Stein
- Anja Schneider
- Branko
- Enrico Sangiuliano
- Inês Duarte
- Luna Semara
- Mathew Jonson
- Moullinex
- Patrice Bäumel
- Victor Ruiz
- Wehbba
- Yen Sung
The vibe? Intentionally different from traditional industry conferences.
“Loose and chill — a space for real conversations between locals and international guests.

Beyond the Conference — Lisbon as a Living Festival
Lisbon Dance Summit doesn’t stop at the venue.
Inspired by ADE’s city-wide model, the event extends into 20+ parties and satellite events across Lisbon, activating clubs, collectives, and promoters throughout the city.
It’s here where Lisbon’s identity truly comes alive — not just in panels, but on dancefloors, rooftops, and hidden corners.
A Local Perspective: The Perfect Lisbon Weekend
For Jesper, Lisbon is more than a host city — it’s home:
“My perfect weekend is running around the city with my daughter, meeting people, and experiencing the energy Lisbon has to offer — ending with a great event with good friends.”
That balance — community, culture, and nightlife — is exactly what defines Lisbon right now.
